Working with Linda

I met Linda at PK jewellers where we worked together as friends and colleagues for over 25 years. Not a morning person she always needed a large mug of tea and a bit of space to prepare herslf for the day. She always looked amazing in her idiosyncratic choice of colours and patterns and co-ordinating jewellery. Efficient and meticulous with her work in her position of company secretary she enjoyed a break from the figures spending time in the shop with the customers in all their glorious variety. She was not quite so enthusiastic about working in the polishing shop when co-opted into cleaning jewellery in the ultra sonic cleaner. I can hear her grumbling now! But if she did have to do it, in true Linda style, she did it better than the rest of us! And who could forget the delicious scones and cheese straws she used to bake for us. She was always ready with a hug when anyone was in need of a bit of support. A lovely, kind and steadfast friend, both at work and socially, i shall miss her very much.
